About the Author
William Belk is a technologist and lean product strategist focused on web/mobile consumer products. He was employee #1 and Head of Software Products for Beachmint in Santa Monica, CA. In addition to his work in Santa Monica, he advises several local startups, speaks regularly at several accelerator programs, and regularly contributes to the entrepreneur community in Los Angeles.
Prior to Beachmint, William served as Director of Product Development for Slingshot Labs, an Internet incubator dedicated to building new web ventures for News Corporation. Prior to that he was a lead toy package designer for Jakks Pacific and design vendor to Mattel. William started building software in 1999. He spent the next decade learning the hard way, the startup way. Along the path he developed a passion for process efficiency and building sustainable and ethical development environments.
