The Car Scanner while a great idea has some crankiness in the implementation. While it initially does connect to its dedicated WiFi channel when the unit attempts to download the vehicle specific software it fails. So, one does get the initial power light, then the WiFi connect light, then when one selects the vehicle profile, initially download proceeds nominally and then at process number 15 or so of 17 it fails. The documentation is not robust enough to provide troubleshooting . Sorry.

Exactly as described. Took a minute to install, worked as it was supposed to. I got one of the paid apps for my phone. It was worth the additional cost. I have not tried any of the free apps. I could not rate this scanner more highly. If you have a nagging check engine light, this is the item for you. (My problem is a gas cap that the gas attendants never get tight enough.) Peace of mind for under $25. Works for me.

It works but it uses wifi, disabling the internet for the entire phone while being used. Otherwise it works as described, but I would highly recommend a bluetooth alternative.

Works as advertised.

Easy to use. I have a Buick and GM products seem to have problems with most apps, but it showed me one issue that is the problem.
