“Lovingly concocted, generally well executed…this is a game that not only achieves its goal – plunking us into another time and place to live the life of an entrepreneurial spaceman – but shows us that some titles can truly take us places.” – (8/10) IGN

Metacritic Score: 82
“All in all, Capitalism 2 is a great game. In terms of scope and comprehensiveness, it has no equal in the world of business simulations, and in fact the only things it really fails to address in a business sense are non-market factors, like lawsuits, building permits, bribing politicians, unions, and all that good stuff — but give them time.” – (9/10) IGN

Metacritic Score: 83
“Hearts of Iron 2 is undeniably fantastic and a considerable improvement over the original game…If it works in the real world, it’s probably somewhere in this game…But that’s not say that the game is for everyone…The density of the simulation definitely limits its appeal among more mainstream gamers…but there’s simply no way to get the most out of this game without just diving in and playing it.” – (8.7/10) IGN
Get behind the wheel for the ride of your life as you smash, crash, and bash opponents in a wild race to the finish. Destroy interactive track environments as you battle for position both on and off the track. Fences shatter, tire walls explode, water tanks fly across the track into other cars, and with over 5000 destructible objects on each track and 40 deformable pieces on every car, the mayhem increases with every lap.
We loved Flatout 1, and they’ve only managed to take this incredibly fun, high-energy game to the next level with the sequel. With improved graphics and a revamped game physics engine, the racing experience is even more immersive and makes every crash, explosion, and power slide feel more realistic.
Metacritic Score: 76
“FlatOut 2 is one hell of a fun racing game. Sure, many of its elements feel a tad generic, like the track and character design, but what it really comes down to is the racing itself and [the developer] has done a great job at drawing a line between control and complete chaos. Definitely give this one a try if you’re into racing games whatsoever.” – (8.3/10) IGN

The X universe is undergoing a period of massive change. What started as a conflict of interest between the Earth and the races of the X Universe has now escalated into a full scale war. Join the battle as corporations vie for control of the universe.
With all the free-roaming capabilities of the other games in the X-Trilogy, but with a new plot that throws you into the power struggle between corporations at a time of war, it’s intergalactic exploration on a whole new scale.
Metacritic Score: 75
“The space battles are much better, and act as a great showcase for the considerable graphical updates made by the expansion…the spectacle and sheer volume of lasers involved makes the combat pilot a good way in for new players…If you’re willing to put up with the pace, Albion Prelude’s simulation of a universe in turmoil provides the most dynamic and interesting sandbox yet presented by the X series.” (69/100) – PC Gamer
Pride of Nations is a turn-based historical strategy game set in the colonial era of the 19th century, where the player takes control of a country and guides it through industrialization, military conquest, and colonization.
As one of the world’s eight Great Powers between 1850 and 1920, you engage in realistic historical gameplay to build your empire. Using diplomacy, economic strategy, and war, you expand your reach to the farthest corners of the globe.
Metacritic Score: 70
“There’s inventiveness and color in the diplomatic arena…Territorial friction that would lead to conflict in other games can trigger tense summits and cruel bloodless humiliations in PoN. Disputed territories may be staked in poker style mini-games. Misread the crisis and you may end up hemorrhaging precious prestige or inadvertently sparking a world war.” – (79/100) PC Gamer
